Spread the Love Trophies Presented to Winning Schools

This year’s Spread the Love peanut butter food drive raised over 25,000 jars of peanut butter and saw 50 schools participate throughout Lake and Porter Counties. The winning high school in the public school category was Crown Point High School with 964 jars, and the winning high school in the private school category was Andrean High School in Merrillville with 572 jars. The winning middle school in the public school category was Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Valparaiso with 693 jars, and the winning middle school in the private school category was Forest Ridge Academy in Schererville with 1,093 jars. Much thanks to all of the schools and students who participated as well as to everyone who donated through our community partners, Strack & Van Til Food Markets, Ultra Foods, Town & Country Food Markets, Chick-Fill-A, Little Ceasers and Shine.FM.
This is the second time Crown Point High School has won in the public high school division.
In their first year participating in the drive, Thomas Jefferson Middle School won in the public middle school category.
Andrean High School held onto the private high school trophy for the third year in a row.
Forest Ridge Academy has raised over 3,000 jars of peanut butter in the three year's of the competition.« News Listings
