Advocacy Alert: State Budget Appropriation
Release Date - Feb 15, 2013
Our state legislators are getting ready to vote on the state appropriations bill and we need your help to urge them to add more funding to the state food banks. The amount needed to truly help the 11 food banks around the state make a real impact on the hunger issue in our communities is much greater than what is currently in the bill. Please contact our area representatives on the Ways and Means committee and urge them to increase the amount of funding to the food banks. The vote is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 19th. All you have to do is call into or email the statehouse and deliver the message below to our representatives.

The state has supported food banks in the past, but increased support is needed now more than ever. With $5 million each year, food banks could distribute millions more meals to Hoosiers who need them. Please support this much needed help for Hoosier families and children.
